We sought out Dr. John's help at the lowest point of our relationship.  There were some specific issues that we had been struggling with for many years and they were at the verge of tearing us apart.  
We had been to at least two different marriage counselors, but they did not help.  We were literally talking about divorce when John showed us that the way for us to come together was not by rehashing the specific things that were keeping us apart, but for both of us to turn our focus on Christ.  The more we were united in understanding and obeying the Lord's will for us, the more that His Spirit worked to move us together.
